A four sided dripping tray for excess mixture is placed beneath plates during use, and makes this machine capable of cooking frozen as well as fresh waffle dough.
Expert advice: If your waffles stick to the plates, it could be because of the mix used. Waffle mixtures with low sugar content can be cooked at higher temperatures, while high sugar mixes require a lower temperature to stop the outside caramelising before the inside has cooked. Using little spray oil can also help release the waffles too.
