Watercare BTP External Break Tank - Ensures compliance with UK water regulations for dishwashers, washing machines, glasswashers and more.

With a category 5 'AB' air gap the BTP ensures that the drain water is not back-flow into the clean incoming water helping shield you from cross contamination.

1 x ½" BSP x 3/8" Push fit.

What is a break tank and do you need one?
A Cat 5 break tank is a feature on most commercial dishwashers and some washing machines that is a legal requirement in the UK to have in commercial premises, the break tank ensures that dirty water from your machine does not back-flow into your clean water supply, thus avoiding the risk of cross-contamination.

Most commercial dishwashers, such as our Cater-Wash CK1543AA have an integral category 5 break tank, so do not require an external one, however please check the specifics of your machine to see if it complies with the regulation.
