The Merlin 1500S Ventilation Interlocking System is designed to comply with BS6173 in commercial catering environments and professional kitchens. The panel is intended for use where all gas appliances are fitted with flame failure devices and gas proving is not required.
The Merlin 1500S panel acts as an interlock between the extraction system and gas solenoid valve - when sufficient extraction is present, the gas solenoid valve will open and gas appliances can be used. The system can work with both current monitors or air pressure differential switches to interlock with up to four fans.
