It is important you choose the correct commercial washing machine when it comes to doing professional laundry particularly for care homes, residential homes and hospitals. We offer a vast range of Electrolux Professional machines to that comply with the regulations set for care laundry. Electrolux professional hygiene washing machines are WRAS approved for fluid category 5 and include sluice cycles and thermal disinfection cycles.

When washing bed sheets that need disinfecting you need to either chemically disinfect with the sluice cycle or thermally disinfect. According to guidelines to thermally disinfect the washing machine should hold either 65°C for at least 10 minutes, 71°C for at least 3 minutes or 93°C for at least one minute.

We always recommend you have 2 machines at a smaller capacity so you can have 2 machines washing different coloured laundry. For example red bag laundry in one machine and towels in another.
