Gas detectors are used to monitor emissions and the build up of both carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide, as well as natural gas and LPG leaks.
Used in conjunction with Merlin interlock panels, these detectors provide the user with an added layer of safety. Unlike domestic gas monitoring alarms, Merlin commercial gas detectors have added security and fail-safe measures ensuring seamless function in day to day use. Merlin's 3000S Demand Control Interlocking system solves the problem of potentially harmful gasses automatically, by increasing or decreasing the fan RPM depending on gas levels within the kitchen.
The dangers that the build up of these gasses present can be both detrimental to the running of your kitchen as well as potentially life threatening. Carbon monoxide is one of the more dangerous gasses which can accumulate in a kitchen that makes use of solid fuel appliances. These fuels if left to smoulder can produce the gas over time. The dangers this can present are build ups occurring when a business is closed, and upon start of service, individuals being presented with a potentially lethal environment.
Different detectors require installation at different heights, due to varying density of the gasses present.
