ETI Sous Vide Thermometer Kit

In professional kitchens all around the world, Sous Vide cooking – a French term for ‘under vacuum’ – is growing ever more popular. The method works by placing food in sealed, airtight bags and cooking it in a  Water Bath for a longer time at a lower temperature. As a result, the natural flavours are kept in the food, taste is enhanced and nutrition is improved. Due to cooking at a lower temperature than usual, it is extremely important to check the core temperature before serving.

This is where ETI get involved.

Thanks to their Sous Vide Thermometer Kit, checking the temperature on food cooked using this method couldn’t be easier. The handy kit comes with the following:

• a state-of-the-art Therma 1 Thermometer.
• one 60mm and one 120mm Sous Vide Needle Probe.
• one Waterproof Countdown Timer.
• one tub of 40 UniWipes.
• a 1 Metre roll of Sous Vide Foam/Tape.
• an ABS Carrying Case.

The Therma 1 Thermometer – which comes with a FREE traceable certificate of calibration – is a rugged, easy-to-use piece of kit that has a range of -9.9 to +299.9 °C. It features a large LCD display that is easy to read which shows the temperature and battery indication.

At an additional charge, some extra options can be added to the Thermometer Kit: a protective black silicone boot (£7.20), a stainless steel wall bracket and boot (£14.40) and extra Sous Vide Foam/Tape (£24.00).
